To Resurrect this Blog or Not?

Should I resurrect this blog or not? That is the question.

I have never been great at blogging as you can well see. I haven't even posted here in years. Blogging is just not my thing. But could it be? Something to ponder.

Can you believe how fast life slips by? I became a consultant 22 years ago with Close To My Heart stamping & scrapbooking. This was just a few months before I had our 2nd daughter. Which means that she will be 22 in just a few short weeks. How can this be? Time really does fly by, especially the older you get. And what about Covid? Is it just me? Or do you think that the time has gone by quickly with that too. Remember when they said just for 2 weeks. But then I heard it might take 2 years. What? And then 2 years passed by. And I am like really? Wow, that 2 years just has come and gone.

During Covid especially during the shut downs and as we well know, some states and some countries were locked down or only partially opened back up, longer than others. And being basically locked up at home, what could one do to entertain themselves? Why, Craft of course!

And so even though I had been offering classes sporadically. I remained consistent with my Bunco Crafters Club and my Spring & Fall Retreats. Out of Covid, I began to offer more. Even though it was out of necessity for my finances it quickly showed that it was out of necessity for so many to maintain their sanity. Who knew we would enjoy so much just seeing each others faces on Zoom?

During the age of Zoom, I was able to quickly devise a plan to be able to keep my Crafting Bunco Group still playing with each other from the safety of their own homes. WOW! That was actually pretty cool! And honestly, that would still be a fun time to play with others from around the world! Which I actually did when I taught some other Close To My Heart Makers how to do just that!

Well, I have never been much to journal, not even in my scrapbooks. That really is kind of a bummer. Because even though you think you will remember all the funny, sad, beautiful moments of life with family and friends, my memory of the details fades. Photos are a wonderful thing to have but even better when you accompany stories to go with some.

So with that being said, maybe I will work on resurrecting this blog. Even if it just becomes a places to capture some of what is happening in my life. We will see. I hope you join me.

My new part time job....

Whats new with me? You may ask....

Well, I started a new job. Yes, after 12 years of not working for someone else, I have decided to go back to work, part time.

My reasons are many. Let's just start by saying that I am still a Close To My Heart consultant. I LOVE this company and always will! CTMH has helped me accomplish many things and grow in so many ways that I would have otherwise never achieved.

I started with CTMH 12 years ago when I was close to my due date with my 2nd daughter. I had worked at Red Robin for almost 10 years. I loved it there, but felt it was time to stay home with my babies. I had no desire to pay for day-care for someone else to raise my children! (Which is completely wierd, because before having babies I NEVER imagined that I would want to be a stay at home mom!) Now that my 3 girls are old enough to stay home with each other without me, it is time for them to be a little more responsible and helpful around the house. Not sure this is working just yet....

Some of you may know that one of the reasons stay at home moms may start an at home business is because they desire to add to the family income to help pay a certain bill, such as braces or dance classes. The bonus is that you can make the amount of money you need for that extra and still be able to control your schedule so you can be there for the kids' activities. Well, back then that is why I started with Close To My Heart is to be able to help out where I could. What you may not know is that:

I started in September 2000 living in a 1200 square foot home. In January 2003 we had our 3rd baby and were fastly outgrowing our 1st home.

By 2005 I was making a career income with Close To My Heart and we were able to Upgrade and we purchased a much larger home, 3400 sq feet. Well, along with more money usually more  expenses for a multiple reasons.

I have done many many wonderful things with the income from CTMH along with EARNING 6 cruises paid  for by the company for my spouse and myself. SUCH an AMAZING opportunity! FYI, the most recent incentive trip/ incentive just started and it is VERY DOABLE if you want to know more about earning a trip to Costa Rica to an ALL INCLUSIVE resort, please let me know! I would love to by you a cup of coffee!

Well, back to one of  the reasons I have gone back to work. I am excited to be out meeting new people and servicing people in the restaurant industry. I have always loved this type of work! I am still offering classes, parties and business opportunities, but being a little backwards.... I need to make that little extra for .... you guessed it! BRACES for my middle daughter! The same daughter when I decided it was time to stay home! Kind of IRONIC.

Plus, I am working on the Dave Ramsey snowball effect to pay off those bills even faster! So my first love is CTMH, and my 2nd part time job is now at :   HOP JACKS! We are located on Nevada in the Winco parking lot! come by and see me sometime! I usually work Thursday through Sunday days..Open for breakfast on Saturday and Sunday from 8 to 11.

After a month of learning to re-balance, I am starting to put class times together again. So please, come and play with me soon!
